CBMC Northland Our Purpose: To present Jesus Christ
as Savior and Lord to business and professional people, and to equip and engage
Christians in the marketplace as they carry out the Great Commission. "And
the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to
reliable people, who will also be qualified to teach others" 2 Timothy 2:2
(NIV).

MISSION: THE EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLESHIP OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL MEN.
CBMC Northland currently consists of over 18 committees (teams) of men located
around the state. Our focus is MAKING DISCIPLES in obedience to the Great Commission.
Our distinguishing competency is our focus on one-on-one spiritual mentorship
using Operation Timothy where our goal is to produce spiritual reproducers.
Minnesota has a long history of successful CBMC ministry starting in 1939 in Minneapolis.
Over the years our tools and strategies have changed but our purpose remains the
same: to reach business and professional men for Christ.
The ministry has been aided by a full time staff since the mid-1970's. In April
of 1997, Tom Whitney was asked to be the director for CBMC Northland. Tom committed
his life to the Lord in 1976. He worked for 16 years in the financial services
field in sales and marketing. Tom, Patty and their 3 children live in Eagan. Learn

Disciples?Operation Timothy: a one-on-one discipleship
tool that teaches the fundamentals of following Christ. Weekly CBMC Prayer
Teams: provides a time for corporate prayer, Bible study, accountability,
and encouragement. Training Workshops: focus is on discipling, sharing
personal testimonies, lifestyle evangelism, follow-up, and prayer. CBMCForum:
helps Christian business owners run their businesses to glorify God. More

How do we... Engage Disciples?Prayer:
focused individual and group prayer time using our "Ten Most Wanted"
cards and other tools. Evangelism: CBMC-sponsored outreach events
and lifestyle evangelism. Discipleship: disciples equipping others
to be followers of Christ and spiritual reproducers in the marketplace.
