Meet Our New CBMC President:  Lee Truax

Lee Truax, new President of the Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC), is a product of the ministry, having been introduced to CBMC by his father, longtime member Ernie Truax.

Lee is prayerfully aware of the responsibilities he has undertaken and is excited at what lies ahead. “Our ministry has been around since 6 men dropped to their knees in Chicago back in 1930 to ask God how they might make it through the Great Depression,” Lee reflected. “My desire is to humbly listen, pray and act in a manner that brings our men across the nation and around the world into a right relationship to God.”

Making Much of Christ From 8 to 5 Luncheon: Don't Waste Your Life

Speakers John Piper and Lee Truax

Keynote Speaker: John Piper is the Pastor for Preaching and Vision at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis. He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and studied at Wheaton College near Chicago. He went on to earn degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary (B.D.) and the University of Munich (D. theol.). For six years he taught Biblical Studies at Bethel College in St. Paul, and in 1980 accepted the call to serve as pastor at Bethlehem. John is the author of more than 40 books and nearly 30 years of his preaching and teaching is available free at www.desiringgod.org. John and his wife, Noel, have four sons, one daughter, and an increasing number of grandchildren.

Closing Speaker: Lee Truax is the President Christian Business Mens Connection. CBMC is a national network of business and professional men who are committed to sharing with others the Gospel message of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Established in 1930 by a small group of businessmen, CBMC has grown to over 18,000 members in 700 teams across the United States. Worldwide, CBMC International is in over 70 countries with over 5000 members. Lee married his college sweetheart Lisa and have 7 wonderful children. They live in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the national headquarters of CBMC.
